Aug 24, 2015  I use an HP Pavilion dv6-3118ez with RAM upgraded to 8GB running windows 10. My Problem is that the driver for the amd mobility radeon hd 5000 has stopped working since my update from windows 7 to windows 10. The package provides the installation files for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 (Engineering Sample - WDDM v1.20) version 8.97.0.0 In order to manually update your driver, follow the steps below (the next steps).

I have been having this issue for a very long time now that is my AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series is not installing properly on my laptop. This happened right after installing windows 10, first it affected video playback with stock windows applications( movies and TV and media player) but I managed to use 3rd party apps to overcome this (VLC in particular), it didn't affect gaming much
but for the last 16 days the driver does not respond at all. Any game , no matter if performance demanding or not will simply freeze , then crash my pc with some funny visuals on my screen

sometimes I get an error message that the application was blocked from accessing my graphics card

I have reinstalled my windows , formatted my entire hard desk and reinstalled a clean windows, for the last two days I was just trying to download and re-download the driver. It is just not working and the package never install properly !!!
