I am using a 1TB SSD on an OWC Accelsior S SSD SATA III PCIe card.
Ask the OWC folks on Bootcamp support and how to reset the card. PCIe and SATA are both supported. Check Console logs for appropriate error messages.
The option to run the Windows 10 installer from Boot Camp Assistant (updated to 10.10.5) gives a an error saying it is unable to detect a Windows installer. I've used DiscMaker X to create a USB installer Flash drive from the Windows 10 ISO file. I've used Disk Utility to create a disk image and burn it to DVD and it also was not detected by Boot Camp Assistant.
What is the version of BCA?
if I run the Windows 10 installer outside of Boot Camp Assistant I'm able to Option start the Mac, select the EFI USB installer stick and run the Windows 10 installer. It sees my internal SSD drive, but is not able to use any of the free space of Fat32 or ExFat (64) partitions - it claims the drive is MBR Master Boot Record and requires the drive to be GUID. I've reformatted the drive as GUID, but something about not being able to use bootcamp assistant leads into the drive being converted to MBR when the Windows 10 installer creates it's system reserve and EFI partition.
The destination for EFI boot on Macs must be a Free Space chunk. Other formats are problematic.
Boot Camp Assistant Windows 10 Download Free
If I use the Windows 10 installer to format my drive I can successfully install Windows 10 and run the BootCamp drivers without issue, but I'm unable to add or restore my Mac partition - Disk Utility freaks out if Microsoft did the drive formatting (even if I left free space for an HFS+ Mac Journal partition to be added).
The MSR is not the same as EFI. The disk should be GPT with Free Space if the drive is dedicated to Windows.
Newer DU versions automatically create an MBR when FAT partitions are created. You are attempting an EFI boot on a preUEFi Mac (2010 MP). Itextsharp convert pdf to image. You will run into all sorts of driver issues.
I'm going to end up using Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows 7 which will work, and then do the Windows 10 upgrade over Windows 7, but I'm wondering if others have been successfully able to install Windows 10 clean on a Mac Pro running 10.10.5 Yosemite.

This upgrade will lead to the same issues as a clean EFI boot as far as drivers go.
